Letter to Students

Dear Students
I will have a pleasure to give You some lectures in March on creative approach to Art – Science and Technology. In the 21st century we have an opportunity to participate in another parallel reality, which give us a chance to reflect on our daily life, time, space and body from another perspective.

We can say at the same time that every thing changes and that nothing change at all. From the perspective of art we can more or less responsible questions and do not influence the environment, but influence our mind. As Allen Ginsberg said we can open our minds and observe ideas and emotions going through us and let them go as a free stream. they may be strong, or stupid, scary, funny, and a shameful thoughts, but these thoughts and feelings are not you, you just watch them pass.

I attache one of my favourite art works by the artists: Peter Fischli and David Weiss from 1987, entitled: Der Lauf der Dinge – The Course of Things.

Our primary aim is to open You to any form of creativity, borderless freedom of artistic practice, feeling of pleasure to find Your own way.

The second aim is kind of reward: a workshop together with students from my class at the Art Academy in Poland in May and even more a presentation of Your collaboration in September in Poland in the Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle in Szczecin, in Poland, during the Erasmus Conference.
Let’s have some creative fun first !!!

This letter is adressed to all of You. We will see what kind of competences will we collect and reveal in our group.

I hope that the attached art piece will inspire You to question the definition of art, and open up to play with time and space, with an image and sound.

See You Soon on my first lecture on the….. of March in the class……, building…..

prof. Tomasz Wendland
